IMMEDIATE RELEASE: VIRGIN ISLANDS ROOTS BAND PRODUCES ANOTHER CLASSIC!
(Washington, D.C.) by Mt. Nebo Records Public Relations / E. Benjamin / contactus@mtneborecords.com / 202-321-2263
Reggae music has evolved into a world impacting phenomenon that has introduced us to a sound and consciousness that have moved millions to assess the way they live and encouraged us to consider the circumstances surrounding the lives of others. By this music we have learned to testify to the glory of Jah, to call to justice the crimes against humanity and to cherish the profound effect of love on all mankind. This permeating spirit has changed the lives of those seeking peace within and consequently there about. A tradition of heavy Africentric rhythm and lyrical substance.
Striving to promote music of this tradition, Mt. Nebo Records released "Bambú Station Talkin' Roots - Volume I" on May 8, 2002. The reggae world immediately listened to its' solitary rootical tone and rested pleased at the highly spiritual music and content. Iba's "Chant" led off an impressive roster that included Dezarie, Star Lion Family, Yah Shiloh I, Ahnk Watep, Natty Empress and Bambú Station itself. In December 2002, Ireggae.com selected "Talkin' Roots ~ Volume I" as its' "Compilation of the Year".
Since then, Bambú Station gave us the classic album, "One Day" in 2003 and toured extensively in 2004 to feverish fans. In 2004 Bambú Station also presented the first ever tour of various reggae artists from the Virgin Islands on the U.S. mainland with their historic "Talkin' Roots Tour". Today we have reached the natural progression, the much anticipated follow up, "Talkin' Roots II"!
Bambú Station's "Talkin' Roots II!" remains consistent with Volume I; powerful songs, tremendous energy, spectacular music, and new artists. "Talkin' Roots II" features the amazing voices of Bambú Station's own, legendary guitarist Tuff Lion, Ijah Menelik, Bashan, Ibednego, Black Culture, Lady Passion, Ras Bumpa, Star Lion Family, Jahman, Danny I, Army, Pressure and the heartical Anhk Watep. We are not only excited to release Bambú Station's new album, but we are highly enthusiastic to share with the world our self-proclaimed Mt. Nebo anthem, "Good Works," by Tuff Lion. Our mission remains clear, "Let the music flow, on and on."
