ZEMA WITH THE GLADIATORS BAND, "JUBILEE" - CONSCIOUS ROOTS REGGAE
Kingston, Jamaica, May 5, 2009 - Melchizedek Music is pleased to announce the release of the highly anticipated new roots reggae CD from Zema with the legendary Gladiators Band, entitled JUBILEE (MEL2060). Described as one of today's top female modern roots reggae vocalists, this roots daughter brings her soaring and engaging voice along with her years of experience as a professional musician backing internationally known reggae artists to this her sixth album.
JUBILEE was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica at Harry J’s Studio where many reggae classics have been created. Now living in Kingston, Zema was able to put more time into the production of this album as well as returning to playing keyboards. Zema has been touring the world with The Gladiators for the last three years and the camaraderie they have developed is evident in the quality of the resultant music. Zema’s desire as a producer was to maintain that roots, rock, reggae s ound The Gladiators are notorious for. The musicians on this album include Albert Griffiths’ two sons with Al Griffiths singing in combination with Zema on the tune “Warning:”
