Merely Marley
Celebrating the Caribbean Diaspora, we pay our tributes to the widely popular music of Bob Marley and his legacy - inspirational across generations and cultures. We have a young percussionist Magette Sow, who also happens to be a CAAM Young Docent; Andrew Clarke, award winning singer and actor from Jamaica; India Sadie, singer and model hailing from Kinston, N.C.; Neville Garrick, graphic artist and photographer hailing from Jamaica and based in LA, most known for his design of Bob Marley album covers shares his knowledge of Marley; Ms. Triniti, young singer climbing the music charts in Jamaica and Mikioi, female duo with their band from Hawai'i bringing their special Jawaiian sound to CAAM! It will be a round the world sound on Sunday! While you are at CAAM check out the exhibit, "Let Your Motto Be Resistance" and our permanent exhibition "The African American Journey West!"
Museum opens at 11am Live program begins at 1pm And remember, this event is FREE! Parking is at 39th and Figueroa Streets in Los Angeles and is $6 per vehicle.
