"Willie Nelson is coming down here to make a music video, and he has invited me to be a part of that video," Toots told the Observer last Thursday evening at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, where he performed at the official launch of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Festival 2005.
It is not the first time that Nelson and Hibbert will be working together, as Nelson is featured on Toots' Grammy winning album, True Love.
"As you know, we worked together all the time in the studio, and he is one of the stars on my album, True Love.
And it really helps to have him on the album, as we won the Grammy. It was nice to have him on it (True Love), and it is nice to help him out on this video. Willie should come in by tomorrow to start working on the video on Tuesday," Toots said.
It is understood that shooting of the video will be done mainly in Negril and Montego Bay. Toots also took the opportunity to announce that there is a possibility of Willie Nelson performing at his birthday bash in December.
"It is also likely that he will be performing on my birthday bash, which I would like to stage on the lawns of Kings House on the first Saturday after December 8, which is my birthday."
The man credited for coining the word "reggae", also spoke of his intention of setting up a foundation to be officially launched on that occasion.
"I'm also going to establish my foundation to be a non-profit organisation. The foundation is to help people in the parish where I was born, Clarendon, and will help assist those afflicted with HIV/AIDS as well as the building of a trade centre to help take the youths them from off the road. I'm going to call the foundation the Toots Federick Hibbert Foundation," the Grammy awardee said.
