The Caribbean Gospel Explosion is an event to celebrate Gospel Reggae, a new transition in Gospel music opening Christian music to a broad and enthusiastic population. Traditional Reggae music has always had a spiritual nature, but Gospel Reggae really combines the spirit of Reggae with the Holy Spirit to reach a diverse audience of multi-cultural people.
Lynette White: Considering music a major part of her life Lynette started her career at a very early age with her church choir. Because of her vocal ability she earned the privilege to work with music legends like Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana and others as well as having the chance to be involved in a wide variety of vocal projects. However, Lynette also embraced her Caribbean roots as an artist including reggae in her desire to praise Zion in her songs.
Monty G: Growing up in a Christian home in the Bahamas Monty G overcame a dark episode in his young life and turned back to the ways of the Lord. Nurturing his rap talent early on he uses it to dedicate his life to Him through his music. Forming the Lion of Judah movement he also provided a positive alternative to the many destructive forms of music consumed by young people. By doing so Monty G has become one of the most influential and sought after artists in gospel reggae who has already won several awards.
