Mr. Peppa 'a pressure dem'
Dancehall DJ Mr. Peppa has been going on good these days, pressuring the radio and dancehall scene with some hot new singles as well as his old favourites.
Remember Life Of A Superstar with Wayne Marshall, Gangsta Guerilla and Talk (Hypocrite A Talk) which dominated the music land last year?
Now Mr. Peppa is at it again with some new songs that are getting nuff love. Catch him on the Zinc Fence rhythm produced by Natural Bridge Records with the single When Last, on the Rae rhythm produced by Ward 21 is Pressure Dem, while the TJ Records-produced Scandal Bag rhythm features Peppa with Wining.
Two new music videos will be out soon to accompany When Last and Pressure Dem (medley) and Wining.
In terms of show performances, Mr. Peppa went to Los Angeles for the Jazz Reggae Festival last week and then he traveled to New York for the Jamrock Magazine Reggae Fest on Sunday, June 3. While overseas, the DJ also did some promotional radio stints where his many fans will got a chance to interact with him one on one.
Fans can also look out for a new mix tape from the DJ, a follow up to the hugely popular 'DJ Smurf Introducing Mr. Peppa', an 80-track mix CD created by Mr. Peppa and long time friend DJ Smurf of Hot 102, produced by Natural Bridge Records.
The mix CD, which featured 12 hot tracks from Mr. Peppa on 10 hot rhythms recorded as dub plates for 12-year mix-master veteran DJ Smurf, was a hot item, as they didn't have hands to distribute, giving away over 5,000 copies across the island. Also featuring some of Jamaica's top entertainers, the CD traveled the globe, kicking up a storm in places like Japan, England, UK and the USA.
Now Peppa, Smurf and Natural Bridge are ready with part two of the wicked compilation, and this one promises to be even more awesome.
Look out for a whole lot of exciting things from Mr. Peppa, as he puts it "for 2007 mi a go pressure dem!"
